Basic Environmental Philosophy and Policy

1.Philosophy

Guided by the mission set out in its management philosophy — to contribute to the development of society — the TATEYAMA KAGAKU GROUP recognizes protecting the global environment as one of its highest management priorities and spares no care or effort in preserving and improving it.

2.Action Guidelines

Recognizing that its business activities, products, and services affect the global environment, the TATEYAMA KAGAKU GROUP manages its environmental impact in accordance with the following policy.

   Continually improve our environmental management system, and work to prevent pollution and improve environmental performance.

   Comply with applicable environmental laws and regulations and with agreements made with stakeholders.

   Among the environmental aspects of our business activities, products, and services, give priority to the following.

      Preventing global warming by reducing greenhouse gas emissions

      Contributing to a circular economy through the effective use of resources

   3. c.

      Preventing environmental pollution through the proper management of chemical substances

   4. d.

      Promoting conservation activities aimed at protecting biodiversity

      Taking an active part in environmental protection activities in our communities

We set targets to achieve this environmental policy and advance environmental management across the entire group.
